Mystic Secret of The Black River
Conquest of the Keep
The group had taken a recent horseback
trip which had begun peacefully enough..
Victor , Bryannae, Sean, Rian, Drehl,
Cersi, Kyttea, Maddie, Mik, Airiah, and
eventually Raz and Annis.
The weather had been cool and comfortable enough, the scenery
an explosion of autumn colors. Having met at the stables, they prepared to
get going as a few more wandered along.It would occur to them
some miles down the Black River that a structure stood there
appearing quite unoccupied. Having agreed to go investigate it,
noted the door ofthe keep was locked tightly as
Cersi tore it from it's hinges allowing the others
upon their horses to dismount and move closer .
Met with a barrage of unexpected fire shot at them with arrows from
what would be clear were undead archers, the group went into action
to protect one another, quickly see to the wounded and gather some
sense of plan to retreat for now until they had a better idea of what ..
or whom , they were up against. It was beyond obvious they were not
welcome here .She had looked around in the confusion to see Maddie down,
severely injured , Sean running back into the now flaming interior as
arrows whistled by in a continued assault.
Bryannae was busy trying to gather the group into some
sensible means of order throughout the chaos as Kyttea and Rian dragged
Maddie away from the worst of the hailing arrows Having no idea where
Victor was , or if Mik had been hit, she would go about trying to control the
heavy flow of blood that seemed to endlessly spill from Maddie.
Her concern for Airiah grew deeply, hoping she had dashed out
of harms way and taken cover .They would in time return to the inn
with the wounded and try to settle into what could be any sense of
attention to those who needed it, she was grateful Annis had happened
by the trail to help with the worst wounds of all.
Cersi's legs.... it was unspeakable.
Still holding the arrow she had to pry from Maddie on site, she looked at
it while standing by the hearth ,once things calmed a bit to wonder ..
Who are they?
And what plan of action can we take now to deal
with this new threat ?
